Default Nitto NT01 --- new convert

I have now had two days on my Nitto NT01s and can say that I am very pleased.

I had some slight rubbing when I first got them installed, pulling out of the parking lot driveway while turning at a crawl speed. As soon as I got home I worked on the fender rolls and have not seen any rubbing since.

On the track these are pretty impressive. I did find the limit on them just once while pushing it but was able to quickly recover with a little right foot. These tires really take it up a notch with the performance. It seems I have taken a few seconds off my time, not sure of the "real" contributor as I now have new tires and LWFW, but they do help for sure.

What tires do you compare these to? What is your track experience?

Front
245/40/18
Rear:
315/30/18

I had PS2 previous, but have driven on the cups before 993TT.

Track experience... ?? Maybe somewhere in the top 20 percentile of members at my local track. I would say I am ok, with a lot to learn.

I want to try these out, but am ecstatic with my Toyo R888's the more I use them. Also they don't come in 335's for me

What pressures are you finding best? Cold and hot?

Where is the best place to buy NT01? Thanks. Might have to try it out after R888s.

Tire Discount has them: www.discounttiredirect.com. Not sure if you'll get the best price from them though.

I am assuming you are rolling the fenders to get these sizes to work?

edit: my bad I re read the original post where you stated that you had to work on your fender rolls.

I also got mine from discount and the service was excellent. Took less than a week to get to my place. These tires are wider then average.

315 is more like a 325 size?

I thought these fit without needing to roll the fenders. Hmmmm......

What alignment do you have?
What wheels are you using?

Cheers,

The Nitto are slightly wider than RA-1 but by looking at the charts, the R-888 is even wider. I would not say that a 315 is the equivalent of a 325.

I just mounted 315 Nitto in the rear, and I could easily go to 335. That is with a 12" wheel.
