I paid the same for the Cargraphic system I have on my car. EBS Racing had them on eBay last year. Frankly, probably would not have put a system on the car, but the price was too good to pass up.

Just received the DesignTek Super Sound Exhaust sent by Karl Chopra (they bought the company). Looks very good...very well made, top quality. Now...Let's see how it sounds...

Thanks! I'd never heard it at full throttle from the outside until I saw that clip. Needless to say, I was very pleased

A some of you know, I much prefer to keep a rich thread going than just start up a new one. I was considering a whole new system but after thinking about it ... I've deleted my cats already and shipping in a whole new system will likely not improve HP but can deliver wt loss and perhaps a slightly more unique sound suited to personal choice and circumstances ie how quiet and tree lined is your street? Or how much of a dork do you feel driving into the shopping centre and causing sweet old ladies to loose their already thinning hair? hey, maybe that's your thing

NEway ... I want something vaguely street able (no shopping malls for me, just the odd breakfast run) so I can't go with a muffler delete ... But I figure the most sense is just buying a smaller, less heat generating, lighter muffler set and splicing them into the existing system. Downside is I can't just bolt back the stock setup itc.

NEone tried this surgery successfully? is there a preferable shape, size? is there a risk of messing up the flow? I don't want to modify my bumper else the middle mufflr setup would definately make sense.

Mooty warned about aft market quality, Mike likes his fabspeed along with a few others, with good mentions for m&m, euro pipe, cargraphic, ruf. No mention of gemballa tho. And no update on those designtek but they look heavy.

I'd get 997 gt3 headers, a cup bumper, and 997 side muffler delete of your choice.

GMG WC setup. No modifications necessary, smaller, lighter, and you can use the stock tips. (link) (link). I run mine currently with stock cats and its a little less loud than muffler bypass pipes. I drive it every weekend, and of course on track.

Since you've already ditched your cats, anything besides the stock muffs will be too loud for your liking I think.

Fabspeed mufflers and cat bypass pipes. Yes it did get louder over the past year, but sounds good. CEL every now and then, but it's not a big deal to reset the warning. I ran the muffler bypass pipes with the cats on for about 2 weeks and just thought it was too loud and it took too much of the bottom end out of the car.

I was looking for a relatively inexpensive setup for a better sounding car. IMHO, the 6-3 is just too mellow sounding with the stock setup. As a friend said, it's a GTf%^&*(-Three it needs to sound like one.

Has anyone tried the Fabspeed valvetronic muffler? Sounds like a good compromise, being able to turn the loud sound on and off with a switch depending on the neighborhood or track.

^^ Heavier and expensive .... But as you say, allows for both noise levels

Just installed my WC GMG mufflers a few weeks ago. A tad loud for DD duty but I'm doing it. Quality was excellent and so was the fit.

With stock cats? I can definitely see that. If mine was to do DD duty I would likely stick with stock or something much more mild.

Yea, I kept the stock cats. I'd like the GMG X pipe with sport cats but the cooling pipes need to be done and that's money better spent.

The sound is fantastic though...
