Hey guys.....wanted some feedback/thoughts on exhaust. I currently have the Fabspeed bypass pipes installed and like them MOST of the time. haha. My neighbors don't like them ALL of the time.![ducking](https://rennlist.com/forums/graemlins/icon107.gif)
The stock exhaust is WAY too quiet (and heavy) for my taste. I am looking for something right in between stock and bypass pipes for sound....BUT I am not paying the big money for a europipe or similar...I think that is fricken ridiculous.
I see that Fabspeed has an exhaust for a somewhat resonable amount but not sure on quality and sound, etc. Also, not sure if anything is similar (price-wise) to Fabspeed that I should consider.
I would bet that most, if not all, of the people on this board have had, seen, heard about every exhaust made for our cars....so I am soliciting your feedback and recommendations.
Help me pick an exhaust with a moderate price and moderate sound!
Thanks mucho!

I have Fabspeed Mufflers with the Fabspeed Race Cats. The sound is louder than stock but not as loud as the bypass pipes which I had at one time. I have found that over time the sound has actually gotten a bit louder. No issues with CEL, easy DYI install and the quality of the product is excellent. I never have gotten black flagged for being over the sound limit anywhere.

Thanks for the info Bill. I am leaning toward the Fabspeed at the moment, but thought there may be some other companies in that price range/quality level. Good to know they are not too loud (passing sound, etc.). Any idea what db they have measured you at?
I hadn't given a lot of thought to the racing cats, but it appears there are some decent power gains to be had by installing them....I think I may consider doing that too!
Thanks again for the info...Tim

Thanks for all the info fellas... I am leaning pretty heavily towards the Fabspeed right now. I found some great prices on it too! But I am still open to opinions. If any of you have feedback on the Fabspeed, do tell.

I have the Fabs on my GT3.
Good construction, light, and decent, throaty sound. They're plenty loud for track work with a helmet on.
At times, there's a little drone inside the cabin but nothing too obnoxious IMO. From the rear they sound pretty nice.
The Fabs have a throaty sound quality and you lose a little of the mechanical 'whirring' that is present with the stock exhaust.

No drone with the Cargraphic. In fact, IMO and my wife's, quieter than stock at cruise. But much more aggressive when you get on the loud pedal. I got all the whirring back by installing the WEVO motor mounts.

Good info! There are a couple reasons I don't like the stock mufflers...
Too quiet for track work
Weight
Whirling from motor (coincides with "too quiet")
Sounds like the FS are a good fit! If they can negate the things I don't like about the stock mufflers, and are about 1K, I think they are worth a shot!

The race cats are lighter than the stock cats. As far as HP gains I can't tell the difference and I didn't have before and after dyno. I found that the sound was much better than just Fabspeed mufflers alone.
