996 RS Wing from Porsche Motorsport

Fuel mileage drops by almost 20% due to the 8 degree shims?!
The way home must've been all uphill or you were pulling a trailer or something...

Where do you guys buy the shims? I also like to play around with some degree changes.
I'm starting to like the new wing. At first it seems too big and too out there. But, then more you look at it, the more you like it. Pretty cool.

Shims are a Porsche part, so you can see them on Gert Carnewall site here...
www.carnewal.com
In the exterior section
GT3 Rear Spoiler Adaptors
The only way to change the angle of incidence of the upper wing of the mk2 GT3 and GT3 Rennsport is by using adaptors that put the wing on 4° or 8°.
The set contains 2 pairs of adaptors :
Two adaptors 4°
Two adaptors 8°
Price : 60 Euro
Factory parts.
Will also fit the rear spoiler of the Aerokit CupII.

Speaking of which, are either of these shims useful for street use? Per my other posting of parts I'm selling, I'm taking my car off the track. Question is whether to sell the shims I have or keep them for street use? i have the RS cf blade on.

You're #1 on the list since you said you'd wear it so proudly. If I can find a nice used 997S, I may go that route. But don't hold your breath. My wife says I can decontent the car all I want, just keep the rollbar and the wing, she says.

Thanks guys for the info about shims.
Thanks PJ. No problem from the cops about the headlight film yet. Knock on the wood!
Thanks for the detailed info, Steve. I'm ordering Carnewall tomorrow.
