What I lose straight line is MINIMAL but what I gain in the high speed sweepers and tight turns (130mph+) is MUCH MORE SIGNIFICANT! I like a firmly planted ***

Besdies, the drag on the RS wing is less than the stock wing so I am not giving much up anyway.

than 8 degree in track where the vmax on the main straight is 135 m/h and another 125 m/h seems to be more proper?. Bends (rather slower than faster) Bands: 3 - 65 m/h, 3 - 87,5 m/h, 2 - 92 m/h and 2- 100 m/h.

ok,sorry.
Dell I gave you the speed of the corners on this track. and v max on two streigts. I assume that the wing works from up some speed. E.g. 70 m/h. If this is the track with not so fast corners and speed on the streight may be is better to use 8 degrees which will give more down force in 80-100 miles/h corners than the bad result of reducing v max on the streight.

Dell it's possible that we don't understand each other because we speek in different language - joke.

Yes guys - my wing adaptors are 8 degrees - just fitted them - very easy - a little screwdriver gets the plugs off the wing and a T40 torque tool (like an allen key but for torque fitting) slackens the screws easily they are just hand tight.

The job was easier to get atwhen the lid was open and tilted forwards. I had no trouble with buttons to press - just slightly slackened the screws and the wing pivoted forward enough to slip the adjusters into place.

Per a recommendation from Dell (some time back on a different thread), I painted my 4 deg shims black to match the wing, and the 8 deg shims yellow to match the car. That way, there's no question as to which set I'm installing.

And, frankly, my uneducated butt can't tell whether I'm using 4 deg or 8 deg shims on a given track.

paiting them black it seems to be best solution. The wing will be carbon.

BTW I received lately my GT3 from German service. I ve done test drive on the street and the setting up seems to be very agresive comparing to previous( rather stock). Height 11,5 and 12,3cm, camber -2,5 both. toe 0,5/2,5. MM KWS. On teh bumpy road vmax = 75 m/h. I would change it now but I wil wait to first track drive.
If you have some advices/experience, let me know, please

Smart. Reminds me of the Porsche Cup Cars in 1992, front wheels were yellow, rears were black as I recall.

With all respect Colonel, I have a hard time believing that.

MM-Racing - try it at the track - mine has an aggressive track set-up (-2.5 camber) and was awful on the roads - its a delight on track and corners like you would expect a 911 to - positive grip and instant turn in at the front with great rear end grip.

Does anybody wonder how a thread on a RS wing could go 20 pages? What....are we in OT and didn't realize it?

price BEFORE discount, 3600 or so as listed by porsche. this is just walking into any porsche dealer in USA.

i am sure with these expensive parts, most parts dpt will discount it at least 15% if not more. at 20% off they are 2800 or so. i think if you want one, just get OEM.

Default Impact on fuel consumption

Well heres the news on the 8 degree adjusters

Normal fuel consumption on 300 mile round trip - about 26 to the UK gallon

With adjusters in place 20.8 miles to the UK gallon

So take them with you fit at the track and remove for the trip home!
