Adrien,

when I asked Jan Erren at Manthey if they had a wing for a Mk1, he said they only have them for a Mk2. Did you buy the very last one or am I missing something ?

The wing on Adrien's car is a MkII wing made by Manthey.

See posts 29-32 as we discussed it already in this thread.

Dell,

I understand, but how come Jan Erren (Manthey rep) tells me that this RS-style wing won't fit a MK1 (which is what both Adrien and I have) ? So what I'm trying to find out is which adjustments one has to make to get the MK2 wing on his MK1.

You will need a new decklid. That's all.

Sorry, just catching up briefly whilst on a skiing holiday! Yes, I have the Mk2 decklid. Whilst there, get the proper CF ram air scoop... an extra 10hp you know...

PS, Tom - I got your email - thanks. I'll reply as soon as I get back from the slopes!

From what I've heard from those running PFCs... they are excellent VFM.

Advantage of Alcons is the larger diameter.

Adrien, which RamAir did you go with? I've been trying to find a source here in the states with no luck.

The only one I know of ... and have been eyeing ... is the one from GMG Racing ... listed for $790 here (scroll down about 1/4 of the page):

I would love if someone made a double-hump looking piece ... 7-GT3 style ... would be ace ... but I know of none.

Holy Crap! $800 for the ram air??? Does it really need to be CF??? I can't imagine that should cost 1/2 that if made out of a material other than CF.

Maybe even a REPLICA...?

Sorry Dell, I had to! hahah!
Sometimes it just makes sense to do aftermarket instead of OEM.
Safety equipment however (like the seats etc.) is another story and you couldn't be more right there!
