Cost of PCCB Pads
I'm finding a big disparity in cost for pads between dealers. Can anyone tell me a reasonable price to pay for front PCCB pads and a good place to buy them.
I had one dealer quote me $600 for a set of FRONTS ONLY and $300 to install them.
Another dealer has them for $350 but offers a 10% PCA discount bringing them down to $315.
What I'd also like to know is the dealer's wholesale price which I estimate is probably around $250. Anyone with access to the dealer price?
Thanks in advance.

I usually do my own pad swaps as well. But, it's interesting to hear what some dealers are trying to pull (and proabably getting away with) on unsuspecting customers...

I got mine cheap from brandywine porsche. I believe around $250 for fronts.
If you track the car, the stock pads are going to wear down pretty fast. You might want to consider the "GREEN" pagid pads that are for PCCB. I paid around $340.00 for them. Keep in mind, that you can't get the "GREEN" pads from a dealer. Only through porsche motorsports. So check with a race shop for pricing.

Thanks all for the info. I meant to post this on the 997 board but the info is probably similar. FWIW - Suncoast came back with $269.95 (F) and $272.98 (R) for PCCB pads for 997S.
No further research needed.

i cant remember, but one item i bought, the local shop told me the price i paid is BELOW his cost.

Rob,
Have you used the "GREEN" pagids ? If, so any wear issue with the PCCB discs ? Do you still have the Gen 1 PCCB discs, or have they been replaced with the Gen 2 version ?
Thanks

Actually, I'm switching out to steals for more pad options. Who wants a set of nice PCCB rotors for "cheap"?

How do I know if one's PCCB is Gen 1 or 2? If Rob is Gen 1, I'm assuming mine is also since we both are 2004s but I thought Gen 1s are only on GT2s and Turbo S. BTW Rob, how many miles do u have on your PCCBs?

Suncoast is great to deal with; they're my local dealer. I bought P-50 (green) front pads from TRG, but TRG couldn't find the rear 997 non-GT3 fitment. Suncoast found the fitment and beat TRG prices by a considerable amount, even factoring in state sales tax. All the parts guys there are patient, knowledgable, and responsive.

I’ve been told there is a race pad application and a street pad application for the Gen 1 PCCB setup.
Please confirm or correct for me the following:
Race PCCB Pads
996 351 940 92 Front Axle Brake Pad Set
996 352 930 90 Rear Axle Brake Pad Set
Street PCCB Pads
980.351.939.00 (front)
996.352.947.03 (rear)
TIA

I think I found what I was looking for:
Suncoast carries the 'Street' pads right from their site; (F) (R)
I did identify via a TSB that there is a Porsche 'Race' pad application from front and rear as Rob stated above.
996 351 940 92 Front Axle Brake Pad Set
996 352 930 90 Rear Axle Brake Pad Set
I am trying to determine if the numbers are still accurate and if I can get a price on them.
