And no chin spoiler. The RS front looks custom and not original.

It's also got a weird carfax. The dealer has a problem. They have three carfax reports. One reported flood damage and then at a more recent carfax, the flood info disappeared. It doesn't make sense. I was seriously looking to fly over to Scottsdale to look at the car if it just had simple body repair/repaint. That doesn't bother me since I want it as a driver/track car. It would be great to know the real history on the car - carfax just doesn't do it.

A red one sold at Ecarlink for mid sixties.
Average miles; but tracked I believe heavily.

I visited the dealership yesterday again to look at this car. This was my second visit and the lower price was compelling. I agree with PointBy in that this vehicle's carfax is strange. The dealer said that the car originally had a 'clean' carfax when they took it in on trade and that the 'dirty' carfax showed up later????? His explanation was that he thought the car was damaged in transit during original delivery. This explanation does not make sense in that the car has obvious paintwork on the left front fender and right rear fender (more likely from a spinning crash). The interior also had a very dull finish throughout..............I wonder if this is from the flood damage? Dealer did not disclose any info about flood damage.

I was considering having a PPI done on this car if the only flaw was paintwork.....but I decided to take a pass since the details just don't checkout with this car.

If it sounds too good to be true.........maybe it is!

My front fender and bumper has been repainted. Can't belive that'll hurt a lot on resale. This guy has different rear bumper too.

Gary: I was interested in this car too....thought about a flight to Scotsdale myself...but not after your onsite assessment and the curious questions raised about the variance in CarFax reports.

I sent you an email....

Ken, if the repair is done well and it is documented it should not affect the value of the car too badly. A lot of people just don't like buying a car where the history is unknown.

Well, how do I start. I am purchasing this car this week. Its going through a inspection from the local dealer. The replaced front and rear bumpers dont' bother me, I kinda like the separation from stock. I am buying the car for its intentions, to drive. If mechanically its sound, should be fun. I wouldn't be able to afford a mid 70's GT3. but one at the list price is achieveable for me. I can now afford track tires, brake pads, etc.

resale, I don't care, I don't plan to sale, and if I do, hopefully the new owner will have the same idea I have. The history of the damage was a test drive in Loisianna, and the dealer did all the work, in addition, its still under warranty. Any bad paint will be coverd under warranty. if something else was done, one would never know.

The car fax on flood is a bunch of crap. All cars sold out of Loisianna had flood on the the reports...all the lawsuits or complaints removed this. Carfax just wanted to protect potential buyers. this is way it was removed.

If its just paint, Im ok, if there is bondo or tub work, well this purchase will not be made.

guys...$64K and it has a warranty with Porsche till March 30, 2008. I am sure if anything is wrong, I am covered, in that the PPI should assist in finding anything structrual/mechical wrong. if there is accident damage, I should know after today.

yea yea yea...Im trying to justify this car. lead me straight fellow GT3 owners.
