Check out this eBay ad and try to explain why somebody would replace the MkII skirts with the Mk1 skirts

Or the car was maybe bought in auction, etc., and it was a wrecked car and they just put the wrong skirts on not knowing the difference? If the car has similar miles to when it was traded in to Dealer/PCNA (according to the CarFax) by the original owner I assume there is something wrong since I can't beleive a dealer wouldn't try to sell a GT3 they took in trade unless they couldn't CPO it. Of course I could be totally wrong but I bored this morning packing for the track and came across this car and couldn't understand why somebody would put clashing skirts on the car.

I asked the seller about it and whether the car had been in an accident. Their response:

"???? ARE THEY WRONG?? THE CARFAX IS CLEAN.

THANKS."

Then I told them that they are from the previous generation car that wasn't sold in the US and that Carfax is worthless. Reply:

"Hello, this car is exactly the way we got it from the original owner. It is our guess that this owner added these skirts. Thanks Van"

"I will sell the car today for $69500.
Let me know if your interested."

I better jump on this right now.

Final post on this...this is too funny!

I tell them I'm not interested and at that price I can get one with lower miles, undamaged and with floor mats too.

Here's the reply:

"hello, This is Darrell and i own Champion Motorsports and I have been watching you jack off my saleman for days and its obvious you can't afford this car so go bug someone else!! I have the car wholesaled for $69,000.00 and if you could buy one for less you would. I own the car and have boughT as many as you have looked and dreamed of owning and can't buy. Now you could not sell or borrow enough money to buy this car!!! GET LOST MENTAL MIDGET"

I highly recommend these folks at Champion Motorsports in Spring, TX for those looking for a good used car sold by reputable people. Ask for Darrell.

Edit: I sent him the link to this thread.

Repair shop ordered wrong skirts and were too dumb to know the difference.

Haa, just wish I could see is face when he reads this.

BTW I just love this line; "This is Darrell and i own Champion Motorsports ". This is something you would hear from typical cowboy "Bob" selling carpet in a TV ad.

New e-mail from Darrell the dimwit:

"I'm not being a *** hole. You know I didn't know there was anything wrong with this car and when I found out it was minor and the car was fixed by the dealer and under warrantee, its fine. If you put something out there that bashes my company or this car I will sue your little *** off and thats a fact. You should find something better to do with your life than this because life is to short for this. I will go to all the sites I know and if I find one thing you have said derrogative you will not like my actions!! Darrell"

I guess he's not even bright enough to click on the link I sent him...

Anybody else have a recall on their side skirts and get them replaced with the wrong ones?

Darrel, we love you! Keep em coming!

Now I start to remember Sean Bannerjee and that 996 that the dealer smacked (all from the 996 forum).
