What Holger said Maybe I should clarify, grip is still good for a street tire, but what I wanted to say was that it seem to drop off noticeably after a few hard laps.

Ah, now I understand. I agree. Hard to understand semantics somtimes when it is just text instead of a conversation over a beer

Maybe us Left Coast guys just push harder.

I will be there on the 20th with SCDA and then again on the 26th with CVR in Black. I'm probably using the GT3 on the 20th with street tires, and my 993TT on the 26th with cup tires. Are you a CVR member?

No problem, my fault for posting too short of a message before running to a meeting.

Its always interesting when this topic appears as there seem to be so many answers to the question of tire pressure. I've heard 36/42 cold on PS2s. I have even run that pressure cold and have not experienced substantial slipping on hard cornering, even on track. Well, I will now try dropping it and see if that makes it even better! What do I know, I sell insurance...

I ran my PS2's at 36/38 hot yesterday at Lime Rock with SCDA. There four, 25 minute sessions, and I found at 36/38 hot, the tires starting loosing their grip after 15-20 minutes. I'm going to try 34/36 hot next time if I don't have cups on by then. Again, thanks for your help.

My R4s, 32F/39R. Will be running R6s this season once I'm able to get out there, probably July or August.
