Default Anyone experience GT3's top speed?

Just curious if our car can actually reach the 309 kph (193mph) top speed claimed by the factory? I have never even reach close to those numbers. The best I did was about 240kph (150mph) on an empty stretch of the high way. For those of you who constantly track your cars, were you able to reach the speed limits on the staights? If not, what was the fastest speed you ever took the 3?

if it didn't every owner in Germany would be banging on the factory door complaining , as they aren't you can assume that it does.

my passenger took this pic two sundays ago (sorry the digital speedo is not so clear, but I tried my best to enhance with Photoshop).

on this run, I actually hit an indicated 315 kmh on the speedo, but this is the best pic we got. assuming it was 10 kmh off the actual speed (i've seen a variance of between 7-10 kmh, or 2-3% off, when i've had my VBox GPS in the car,) then that would be pretty darn close to Porsche's claimed vmax for the car.

Here's a video that shows similar performance to hesperus.

Most I have hit is ~160 but ONLY on a track so straight line is limited.

Mid 150s for me at Mid-Ohio. I imagine higher speeds can be had at VIR or Road America in my neck of the woods.

I have also seen about 160.

My crazy friend decided to see if the 190 claim was true before he sold it...He hit 189 before he had to get out of it. Crazy.

I had 303 km/h on the meter in my Mk.1 GT3 the other day and the car was still pulling.

175mph on digital speedo...and still accelerating. On deserted highway with CT. State Trooper in passenger seat.....don't ask. :-)

183 mph on a very empty, long, clear stretch of road and it was still pulling. I have no doubt that it can reach 193.

It's been done/proven on many occasions and as R+C says above if it didn't there would be uproar in Germany!

Best we can do at Road America 165. You have to slow down for those darn turns.

Are you guys calibrating your speedo against a GPS? Not unusual to see a significant error in the factory speedo.
