GT3 MK1 RELIABLE?
1999-2000 so about 7 years old.
The GT3 MK1 reliable or not?
Is it expensive to maintain?
Are there many things need to fix for its age?

My 2000 Clubsport is still under warranty so I don't need to bother but they have changed/repaired a number of things.
1. Master and slave brake cylinder
2. A/C compressor
3. Radiator fans
4. Gearbox (dealer did this before I bought the car used from the original owner via the dealer)
5. Ignition barrel
6. Oil leak
7. Steering rack
Outside warranty the clutch and flywheel have been changed, one month after I bought the car used so the previous owner obviously didn't know how to drive but it has been fine since (3 years).
Ciao,
J.

my Mk1 GT3 has 40k miles; I mainly use it for track days and since I have bought it 10k miles ago I have only had to change the clutch, tyres and brakes. It is rock solid

In your case, I think the car is not so reliable.
Lucky, you still have the warranty. How many miles on your car when you brought it?

Sounds rather very reliable, considering it is a car that (correct me if I'm wrong) tracked.
Try to do the same thing for 7 years with almost any other brand and we would be on forum page nr.2 right now.

I don't consider these things to be out of the normal except the gearbox, clutch and flywheel but that is purely down to misuse or abuse by the previous owner. The car has 55000 km on the clock which is normal for a 6 year old car (was 37000km when I bought it). The rest is really petty issues in my opinion and I still consider the car to be very reliable as a road/track car.

I don't want to put you off but also don't want you to get burnt.
