Open or enclosed? Enclosed are very nice, not cheap either. Check out Rick's trailer in this thread.

Thanks for the link- enclosed 18' so I can pull it with the Cayenne. Got tired of a heavy steel trailer and my wife wouldn't drive the 2500 GMC crew cab I pulled it with! The Cayenne's a great vehicle when I'm NOT towing...

I tow a heavy boat, 7500#, and an open trailer, Trailex + GT3, with my Tundra. Car tows great but the boat is to heavy for the vehicle weight. On of the most important considerations for a tow vehicle is its weight. A light tow vehicle and a heavy trailer is not a good combo to have especially when stopping even if the trailer has brakes as required. Also wind resistance of an enclosed trailer is a big factor in overall performance. I would vote for the GMC 2500 tow vehicle.

Default 24' enclosed

Just received my 24' ATC trailer which should weigh about 3,100 lbs. I has quite a list of options. ATC has quite a list of option and I went a bit overboard when ordering. Build quality is quite good.

That picture is in Boston at IRA Porsche where I purchased the car in Dec 2005. I drove it home to Florida. Hopefully no more snow.

Bet that was a fun trip back to Florida trying to keep it under 4200 rpm for the first 1K miles... and I think you mean December '04...
