Just picked up my 05 GT3! few questions (Now With Pics!)
EDIT: NOW with PICS!
Ah it snowed a bit (first snowfall this year) this morning, but luckily it all melted away before i left for the dealership
great car, everything i expected. blah blah, i won't bore you guys with what you already know, and that its one of THE ultimate porsches made.
anyway, few questions:
1. The schroth belts, are they supposed to have re-inforced shoulder pads?
2. my the seat belt buckles seem to have everyday rubber bands attached to them to return them to the 'upright' position... is it normal for the dealer to use such a crude method?
3. how much is it for a new spoiler lip, i already scratched mine going to an otherwise great resturant to celebrate
don't worry, i'm not going to ask about break-in procedures or other LONG debate igniting questions
Best regards!
Tom

First off CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
As far as the scroth belts, I don't know, but that rubber band thing, I've never seen that before.
When it comes to the that little lip on the front apron, as you may have read already, don't be too concerned by it and consider it part of the maintanence cost. If you choose to you can purchase the Motorsports one for about $100 US or pay from what I understand up to three times that for the stock one.
Now I've got one question for you...where are the pics?!?!?!?!?!
Congrats and enjoy it in good health!!

I don't want to open the can of worms either, but I just found this in the cup car service manual. I have seen no mention of it on the board:
"Driveshafts Notice: We recommend, that new cars and/or newly fitted drive shafts should be run-in for approximately 100km with a maximum speed of <200km/h, and with low torque."

Will take some nice pics for everyone tommorow, just got home after a whole day of driving, too tired to even go out
anywho, the car is still BONE stock, except for the rennlist sticker
didnt even have time to throw on the clear sides, take off the front plate, or replace the dealer's license plate frame.
hahaha
cheers

moogle, congrats.
schroth belts comes with small black rubbery square shoulder pads on it. but if you really cinch down and not wearing fire proof suit, it still hurts. you can order large shoulder pads (zippered on) to go with it. sorry i don't have a pix of it. but if you mention it to any schroth dealer, they will know what you are talking about.
i would use the motor sport lip. it's a lot cheaper and looks more aggressive. don't worry about scraping it. it always happens. just drive it and enjoy..

You can order the rivets only, which is all you realy need unless your seeking steep drives. The rivets come in handy if you have an off at the track. They break befor the spoiler so you need relacements.

Looks great Moogle. Congrats! How about some pictures of the M3 next to the GT3 in daylight ... will make a nice contrast. Flash pictures don't do the GT3 justice. I think Cos doesn't like Pzeros, hope mine don't come with it. Anyhow they are good for a couple of days at the track .. then you toss them out. Enjoy the car!!
