Yes, the differences have been discussed on this forum at great length. The System is basically the same as the Corsa but more grooves have been added to help dissipate water better. Other than that, they both have a treadwear rating of 60 and have similar rubber compounds. Do a search, if you are interested in more details.

I disagree. The OEM PS2's are great in the rain. What exactly are you experiencing? Aquaplaning? If so, that is a function of wider tires riding on standing water. Otherwise, these tires do an excellent job dissipating water.

Congratulations! Enjoy it!
I got my car from Pepe porsche, White Plains NY (a few blocks from the westchester mall). if anyone wants more info, PM me.

i'll put that on my car's 'to do list', alongside of 'replace spoiler lip' since they both require a lift.

by the way, an update on my tires

they are indeed the "ROSSO's" i just noticed it today, said that next to the red Pzero letters

cheers, Tom

Default My car arrived at the dealer.

" Hey, look at me " Yellow as ordered but, wearing a full set of Rosso s. The original car I ordered is still sitting in the showroom with Michelins. I don't think it would be too difficult to convince the sales manager to switch them. Have a fresh set of Corsa s in the garage waiting for a set of rims.
I'm not fond of the Corsa s in the wet so, I will need a set of wet track/ occasional street tires anyway. With that in mind, is it worth asking for a change? Or, should I remain brand loyal?

Mike - I can't help you with that question. The P 0 Rosso is an excellent tire. I liked it on other cars but have no experience with it on a GT3. The way the tire reacts is a function of the suspension so a tire that may be superb on one car may not be on another. The good news is that if Porsche has fitted them to your car, they meet Porsche standards which are pretty demanding. The big question is whether the car had those tires installed at the factory or not!
If you look at the tire designation there should be an "N(x)" in the number where 'x' can be 1 -3 -3 etc. If it has an "N" designation, it is a factory approved tire.

PS2s on 04 GT3 here and am happy with them so far, seems like a more suiting tire for a GT3 than a Rosso would be, I wonder whats the reason for the change for 05.
