Track Wheels
What's everyone using for track wheels? I'm looking to get a second set of rims dedicated for track use only. Fikse, Oz, Kinesis? Any suggestions/experiences?

I think you will find that the wheel you buy for the track are the ones you will always want on the car. Buy something you like...Kinesis, Fikse, BBS, ect and use the stockers for the track. These are Kinesis K58.

I know this may sound odd, but remember I'm the man who kept his orange sidemarkers because I like the little splash of color on the flank! What I'm saying is I think the GT3 wheels are really nice, and they're also one of it's only defining features (along with the wing & spoiler). IMHO if you take the oem wheels off it just looks like a C2 playing GT3wannabe, I use the oem wheels with my MPSC's for everything. That said all my car does is go to the track, go round in cirles, and come home again!

I'm with you mac- I haven't seen a wheel I like better than the OEM wheels. I see that Wheel Enhancement now advertises them- if I ever get a set of track wheels I'd go with factory ones.

When I pick up a set they'll most likely be Forgeline. They're light/strong/high quality and have a proven race record. They are also manufactured in my home town (Dayton, OH). They are fairly popular with porschephiles in the Midwest. Maybe its worth checking them out too if you're in the market.

I do like the looks of the Kinesis K58s, and also the Fikse Profil 10s. Both are much lighter than stock. Need to get extra rims so that I have one set for the track (with MSPCs) and one for the street (MSP2s or Corsas).

Hey Rockit, do you change your wheels at the track, or do you drive over on your stockers? Was that you at the Glen on October 18/19 for the Rennlist event?

Here are Kinesis K58's with black painted centers. They save about 20 lbs over of the stock wheels.
Now, I have a hard time saying no to myself about accessories , plus I discovered after buying the black wheels that I like light colored wheels on a dark car better. The Kinesis are fine, I just didn't like the look.
I got a set of BBS wheels (RE794, RE795 1 piece wheels):
