Default Does you lip spoiler on you GT3 look like this??

I had the lip spoiler on my GT3 replaced with the motorsport version since it only cost $105 instead of $400. I think it looks alot more aggressive than the original one. I was told that this type was put on some GT3's at the factory. It certainly is a lot different from the very subtle one I had on the car before.

You may be surprised to know that the fittment of this front spoiler will dramatically improve turn in and front end lift on track days.

A good improvement both cosmetically and dynamically.

That lip is the one that came with my car.

My car was a May 2003 build.
What did or does the original one look like?

The new spoiler is hard plastic-slightly bendable. attached is the original lip spoiler pic on the day I picked the car up at the factory ( June 11th, 2003).

Lon,

Would you please describe the difference? rom the photos is looks like the Motorsport version is deeper i.e. grabs more air but since the angles of the photos are different it's hard for me to tell. Looks like more front downforce with your new one which would balance off more rear wing!

That is, in essence, a splitter. Directs air away from under the car, pushing it up, into your radiator, or whatever the GT3 has in the middle. (radiator there for me) and most importantly off to the sides. this creates more of a suction, downforce, whatever you want to call it. Also usfull for emotions known as anger and rage, as parking requires care not to touch the curb, or parking thing. of course, i'd assume the GT3 is low enough that this is a problem already, it is on the 951. It should help with reducing high speed understeer, turn in, etc...

Looks identical to the lip spoiler fitted on my GT3RS?

If you look at the photo MetalSolid posted you can see that the lip spoiler (as my original) differs in two major ways.

1. On the side of the car, the spoiler her carries only to the end of the ouside edge of the car. The motosport version extends out past the edge of the car's body.

2. My old spoiler also was much less deep than the motorsport model which definitely grabs alot much downdraft.

I think that the motorsport version, since it is longer, does run a greater risk of scrapping since it seems aboutr 1/2-1 inch lower.
