Default How to put your GT3 on a diet

Saw this on rennteam. Claims that stripping out interior saves about 140 kilo's or approx 300lbs. Looks great...

Seems to me if he went that far, the door panels should have been removed. Maybe that would save another 25 lbs... I guess he wanted to maintain a least one element of creature comfort...funny

Looks like what not to do with your Porsche. They do make the Supercup car. What a turkey!

Best,

And I thought leaving the jack and lug wrench out was maybe getting a little extreme!

You should see the car being driven. Rockitman, why didn't you post the video links?

Not exactly a well honed driving technique in those vids...

Yep, my wife or kids would love to ride to the store with me if I did THAT to the car... and I actually do turn the radio in town once in a while (no point on the highway because you can't hear it anyway...)

I watched those videos and the following were my thoughts:

1- This guy appears to be trying very hard to ruin that GT3.
2- He has no idea what he's doing, but he's got a lot of testosterone.
3- Have you ever seen anyone shift so roughly? Up/down shifts were horrible. He never matched revs, and barked the tires on every single downshift.
4- Notice how he goes from full throttle right to hammering the brakes into ABS? Wow, he got skills.
5- Line? Apex? Smoothness? What are those?
6- I LMAO when he screwed up and the little clown shoe Bimmer went by him. Then even with a big hp advantage, he still couldn't catch the BMW. LOL. The harder he tried, the behinder he got. Luckily, the video stopped.

Glad I was'nt out for a spin on that track with him out there. Looks like there are no rules when it comes to open track days in Germany. Pretty scary!!! Seems like people were pulling over, just to get out of the way of that mad man...
