Default MK1 aero on Chicago's north shore

Anybody on here drive a dark blue 996.1 aero kit car, driving south on I-94 on weekday mornings? I pass you going north nearly every day and would love to meet for a beer sometime.

That being said, I see 3-4 996s on a daily basis. Anybody else notice an uptick in our cars on the road?

Out here in corn country I feel like the Lone Ranger. I never see another 996! Even local show and shines don't draw any 996's only new P-cars, older than 996 911's, 914's and an occasional 356/Speedster. Makes me feel special!

Billy - You need to come down to Kansas City for a PCA breakfast. They are every Saturday morning at 7:15 am at LePeep, 79th & Quivira. We have around 40 guys who regularly show, and about 10 of those are 996s of some type. On the first and third weekends of every month, the auto museum (10 minute drive from the PCA breakfast) has Cars n Coffee from 8 am to 10 am, so we typically have 10 to 15 guys caravan to the museum after breakfast. Great way to start the weekend. Drop me a line if you decide to come down and I'll watch for you.

KC: The KC PCA breakfast is on my list. I'll let you know when. You have the advantage of living in a civilized city!

Commute on I94 in the 996 on Fridays and other special days. Only other 996 I see on a regular basis during the commute is a 40th anniversary car. Mine a black MK1 aero, lets bring back the flash!

It's not me either as I work from home too but I see a few 996's in the NW burbs on many occasions. Most don't even look or wave. Sad
