Congrats on the 3.8l! If you look at the money you will have in the car and compare it to what else you could buy for that, there is nothing even close. Not to mention once you fall in love with the quirkiness of the 911, nothing else will do.

I'm beyond excited for the entire process. I'm also anticipating the entire tear down process, so Jake can fill us in on what occurred with the engine.

Curious to know what the Indy told you about the noises that prompted you to leap directly to what sounds like a drastic solution to an unknown issue? Don't get me wrong, I would love to have a FSI engine.

I didn't have time to dick around and deal with two shops and felt it wasn't worth taking half measures. I'm sure we will find out what happened here in due time. The question I asked myself was why 'fix' a car that may have engine problems further down the road. I would rrather start fresh and be able to do drivers ed with a more than capable engine.

Car is being picked up today in Champaign. I can't thank the team at FSI enough. I've spoken with Jake and Jud and they are both top notch.
The previous owner stepped up and is paying for the flatbed down to Georgia. Stay tuned
