Regarding #388. I bought my car from Dawydiak. They're a consignment dealer, so the price is likely negotiable.
My purchase experience was excellent, they are good guys over there. Despite purchasing the second-cheapest car on their lot at the time they treated me with the same dignity as if I was purchasing the second-most-expensive. This was 2 years ago, so I hope the same crew is there now.

Sold! $25K is a good price for the seller, 2 sets of rims may contribute to the value though. That's your market lesson for today folks...

BAT always seems to command top dollar for certain vehicles but I would not consider it to be the norm for sales/pricing.

827 for sale
I have driven a couple recently - there are a few for sale in my area... I see the one on BAT went for $25K; I have 15,000 fewer miles on mine and it is in very good condition. It's only worth what someone will pay; time will tell how off I am on asking price... Maybe I will consider BAT but I don't think I have the ***** to go no reserve!

Hi. #230 chiming in to this forum. Just got it from a friend who's held it for 12 yrs but had to let go as it was not getting enough seat time. Docs showed it first sold in Vancouver then shipped to Manila by 2nd owner before it ended up with my friend. Amazingly, in excellent condition after 18 yrs. Thinking of lightly modding after IMS, RMS work first. Eventually just exhaust and maybe suspension. Looking forward to my first Porsche ownership experience. Here she is:

I myself have not had the IMS or RMS worked on and have had it for about 13 months and put on about 9,000 miles. I'm sure I'm playing with fire a bit, but I'm going to wait until it comes time for a clutch job. As far as mods, I can tell you from experience, a very cost-effective exhaust mod are the Fisters which mimic the PSE. Literally no HP gains but the car just feels faster and sounds 100 times better. If they had told me there was an increase in HP, I absolutely would have believed them. I won't look at replacing suspension parts until mileage exceeds 80k.

Thanks, 808Bill. Indeed we're halfway around the world across the Pacific.
@Simonripley: very low mileage at 29.6k kms (~18k+ miles). Yet am a little concerned tho, as I read somewhere that a significant portion of IMS failures were with low mileage cars (?). I guess 911's are meant to be driven hard. So off shortly to my specialist for IMS/RMS. The 19" wheels came with car, my friend upgraded from original ones. Don't know what these are but they look like OEM.
Will check on the Fister exhaust as Simonripley noted. Any other options and comments aside from Fabspeed or PSE sound-alike? Maybe not a full exhaust as I don't want to wake up the neighbors upon start-up!
