Burning Brakes
Subscribed as I'm in the market for one soon.
BTW, Sorry if this is over stepping but would I be stupid to pay $35K US for a 2003 Silver / Black C4S with only 23K miles (records, never seen rain, excellent condition, Bose, no heated seat though) ??? He's down from $42K.
Very low miles and great shape but I'd need to do the IMS. Just not sure about the price.

Really depends what you want out of a car. Low miles was one of my main criteria, next to color combo/aero/6MT.
Also, people will say lower mileage cars haven't been ran, gaskets dry rot from sitting etc., so you can either risk it like myself and do your own inspection, or pay for PPI and have it checked more thoroughly. I've replaced IMS, AOS, clutch, and a couple other bits, none of which needed to be, but that was an additional cost I would immediately incur.
Or you can do like 808Bill said and look at Slakkers with the 3.8FSI. Whole lot of car for a great price.

Send him a PM to get more information. That C4S is only worth $7-11k if the engine isn't healthy & it develops an issue. Slakker's C2 has a nearly $30k engine in it that puts out >300rwhp against a light chassis.

Transmission: 6M
Notable Options: Of the 64 options this car came with, notable ones include: XAA Aerokit, 014 Sports options package (incl. 030 220 375 376), (030 Sports suspension -10mm lower), 220 LSD Limited Slip Differential, Sport seats, 662 PCM 1 Nav, 680 Nokia DSP audio, Leather front/rear seats, dash, Carbon fiber gear ****, handbrake, door guads, steering wheel, side air vents, speaker covers, etc., X71 Alu-look instrument faces.
Notable Upgrades: 18" 10 Forked Spoke factory wheel upgrade (LOVE THEM).
Service History/Manuals (Complete, Partial, None): Partial, all recent work documented including: IMS, Clutch, RMS, major service (coils, plugs, all fluids changed, etc.) within 1,000 miles of purchase. Mechanically, extremely sound. New tires.
Condition of vehicle: Mechanical: 10/10. Interior 9.5/10. Exterior: 8.5/10. Everything works and looks great. Only issue is front bumper was resprayed once when front plate was removed and holes filled; I will redo the bumper for better paint match and to repair small stone chips.

^^ Not a bad price at all I paid 24k for my stripper 99 Arena Red car with 56k on it 8 months ago. Its super clean and came with hollow spoke wheels. I felt like I paid absolute top dollar. Here is a pic after some coilovers and wheels I added.

I don't think $35k is too far off, but I'll pay a premium for a lower mileage car, while others choose to do the opposite. However, looking at $35k range, I might hold off and save a little bit more play money and opt for a 997.
Or you can do like 808Bill said and look at Slakkers with the 3.8FSI. Whole lot of car for a great price.
