Default Engine mount, genuine Porsche or aftermarket?

I usually err to the side of genuine parts. However given the price variation between Porsche and aftermarket I am looking for some feedback.

Those that have replaced with aftermarket, how are they holding up?

No issues with the Rein so far.

I used sport aftermarket mounts, a bit firmer than stock but not race stiffness. I had to reattach my passenger door card to eliminate the buzz. When the throttle is down the cabin comes alive. Some would not like that but I think it suits the car.

I have a 997 C2 but I assume the mounts are very similar if not same. Went with semi-solids last year. Liked it at first but it started to get tiring on longer drives. Kind of disrupted the balance of where the engine feedback is coming from - instead of intake/exhaust, it was more of spine/rear-view mirror. After a few months went back to stock mounts and couldn't be happier - it's back to a beautifully refined machine. So I say NVH is one area you don't want to mess with unless you know exactly what you are doing.

I went with Rein, they're pretty great so far. I was planning on semi-solids, but ended up passing due to concerns over NVH.

Thanks for the comments so far!

I am looking to stay with OE style, no desire for performance change or change to NVH...

This ECS "kit" https://www.ecstuning.com/b-assemble...99337504908kt/ is what I am contemplating.

I bought the Rein through Amazon. No issues. Look just like the originals too.

I put Wevo yellow semi-solid mounts in my 996 C4S. I thought they were great, and NVH changes were minimal.

The wevos are a nice step up from stock without being harsh .

Hey guys, we are a new vendor here, but a longtime member for our personal use!

We can not compete with Amazon on the Rein mounts, but we do offer the genuine Porsche mounts and if you're looking to upgrade to the Porsche RS style mounts we carry those as well. One thing we do have over Amazon is we can sell outside of NC tax free and offer a free t-shirt

I've got 6k Miles on my Rein Brand after market engine mounts and so far so good. Plus the price from Amazon is really good, $62.49 Each or $124.98 pair with free shipping.

I went for the stock mounts on an 11 yo 996. Car had about 55k miles when they were swapped out. Noticed slightly tighter feel during shifting and it eliminated the shake I was having in the passenger seat at highway speed. Could have sworn it was from cold or imbalanced tire, but the mounts stopped the harmonic vibration.

I've had the Rein OEM style mounts on mine for about a year now (approx. 5000 mi) and they've been great. I think I paid around $140 for the pair.

Thank you all for the input.

I started out with thinking I would buy genuine, then Rein, then thought hard about WEVO.. Ended up going with Rein's linked here sold by Amazon. We have a bunch of monthly household items on auto subscribe through amazon, had enough points to cover the cost. The mounts are pretty easy to access and swap. Figured if I am going to try an aftermarket part on the car this is about as ideal as it gets.

Appreciate the insight, I will follow back up once I have a few thousand miles one them.
