The Official 2017 Vegas Meetup Thread

From Vegas PorschePalooza/RennRun/Hangiver 996 Committee Chairman Komandant Kalash:
Proposed itinerary for Saturday, 6/10/2017. This is being copy-pasted from excel, so formatting doesn't transfer.
7:00-10:00 Meet at Las Vegas Cars and Coffee at 14200 S. Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89054. Introductions, breakfast, looking at cars, socializing.
10:00-17:00 Scenic Drive through Valley of Fire Park to Overton, to Hover Damn, back to the LV. Lunch at Overton.
17:00-18:30 Free time for participants to get to their hotels, get changed, park cars, take Uber/cab to night portion of the event.
19:00-24:00+ Meet for drinks at Bond (Bond, James Bond Bar at Cosmopolitan Hotel) to start the night events, then move to Vesper for 3rd-4th round. 3708 las Vegas Blvd S, Las Vegas, NV 89109.
24:00+ Free time. Those who want to go to sleep, have that option. The rest can accompany G911 to Spearmint Rhino.
Ok, here is the proposed Sunday itinerary:
Time Sunday
10:00-11:30 Meet at Peppermill Restaurant at 2985 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89109 for breakfast.
12:00-14:30 Karting at Las Vegas Mini Grand Prix track at 1401 N Rainbow Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89108. $46/two hour wristband.
15:00-16:30 Free time for participants to explore, take pictures, or mingle, get changed, shop etc.
17:00-24:00+ Meet for drinks, food and final "goodbyes" at Hofbräuhaus at 4510 Paradise Road, Las Vegas, NV 89169.
24:00+ Sleep or drive home time for the remaining attendees.
For karting, the cheapest option right now is for us to show up for the LVMGP and buy the $46 two hour unlimited rides band and drive race with each other and other guests. If we rent the track on Sunday, assuming we get total of 25 people then it still comes out to $120/person+food.

Ok gents. Time to get serious. The plan is to meet in Vegas this summer. 2-3 days tops. Rent a track for a day. Allegedly go to a few strip clubs. Maybe have a beer or two, unless you are DT Miller in which case...well...you know.
Cuda will design a commemorative T Shirt that will no doubt, have a small flaw of some kind and will arrive several weeks after the event.
KC will be there so at least we have an attorney with us, you know...just in case.

gnat might show up, but only if Gretch does too. He is a pendant after all.
I hope, I hope, I hope, Johnny Irish shows up...
Tony2 said he is in, but is unsure if he wants to leave CO during the only good month of the year.
Let's see what Macster has to say...in 10,000 words or less...
Slakker is bringing his toy hauler, so I will have my choice of 996's to track (don't want to get my pristine 997.2 dirty).
Kalash and I are in charge of organizing which means not much will really get done. We do have some new blood in Vegas that could possibly help out, but we shall see.
Looking for input on dates, whether track time is important (yawn----might cut into my drinking time), where to stay and what else to do besides Cheetah's, the Rhino and Olympic Garden.

But wait, will boobies even be allowed? Apparently management is anti-boobies, so is there going to be a mod following us around with a roll of black duct tape to cover up any exposed nipples?

On serious note. Let's aim this for late April-May-Early June period. So it is not too hot. Friday-Sunday.
We need firm commitments though. I'll do some research to see what weekends are not packed in Vegas so we aren't competing with "Blue Man Group" fans for hotel rooms and parking spots.
The obvious "fun" driving thing would be the Exotic Racing, but if locals have suggestions for the track. Throw them out. I just bought me a Snell 2015 helmet, so I am ready and protected.
