Slow crank on hot start - cable replacement?
So I never noticed this before, but I stalled the car yesterday and darn near wouldn't restart. Just a slow crank almost like the battery was dead. Waited a couple secs, still did a slightly faster crank (still slow) but was enough to catch.
In my experience that's likely due to a crappy connection or even a cable having V-drop. Being it's a 1999 and I presume original cables, and they're going to be pretty long, I'm thinking of getting some cables built up and replace battery-starter-alternator cables.
Has anyone done them before? Is this a common issue? I did a search for hot-start and didn't really find anything readily visible.
Are the cables a pain in the butt to replace in these things?
