Interesting. In SoCal, I believe lots of lane changes are more likely to get you a ticket than driving fast but in a straight line...probably because everyone here speeds. A lot.

Volunteering for a dirty license plate usually works for me. Better than points and ins. Surcharge. Also helps to have a PBA card in your wallet.

I have a badge and gun, the Highway Patrol pilot is my hangar neighbor (I know when he's flying) and Mrs Gator is the traffic court judge. I am pretty well covered in my area.

I actually have not been stopped since 1987. I know how fast I can push it, at least in FL.

^ Yup, it's amazing how not driving 20MPH faster than anyone else on the road makes you less likely to get lit up.

What color ticket do you want? I have them from many states in different colors with great stories about how I got each one Yeah, and some I had a Radar, Laser and a CB back in the day, lol. Just always going to dang fast. I was a product of the environment I grew up in. I was stationed in Germany for almost 10 years, it was a hard adjustment driving in America

This ... if you don't get the occasional ticket (or more) them you must be lugging the motor.

Me with laser - relatively empty freeway, early on a Sunday morning , cop was on the other side of a bridge so I didnt see him. My v1 did not go off - so maybe it is too old to work with newer laser guns or there was not enough scatter. Either way, I try to use Waze as well as the v1 now - not 100% fool proof - but gives you more confidence. Lucky I had

I was going through Barstow around two in morning on way to vegas in my 1986 mustang .I saw the CHP headlights oscillating way behind me,I was the only car on the road, so I pulled over and waited. He got me on radar/lidar for doing 135 MPH.When he asked if I knew how fast I was going ,I told him my speedometer only goes to 85 MPH .

Back in the late 70's got a ticket for 90 In a 65 zone.

Went to court in San Bernardino and told the judge I'd do the jail time instead of paying the ticket.

Next thing I heard was case dismissed
