Default How I fixed my broken tail light mounting tabs

Maybe someone here will find this useful.

After pricing out new lights for my C4S I decided to try and fix these myself.

This pic shows the damage, both sides are about the same.

Step 1 was applying this JB PlasticWeld.

Step 2, after it setup I used a Dremel to shape it.

Step 3 was applying a coat of two part epoxy.

Step 4 was a coat of Krylon black paint, done.

It’s not super pretty but seems strong enough.

Good luck, Pete

Good diy'er! Well done. Further to PORCAR's suggestion, I've also used the Goop products for various things with great success. Good stuff.

What causes the small vertical cracks in the C4S tail light lenses?

These are the small cracks at the top section of tail light - both of my C4S's had them - i'm sure the Turbo suffers from these also?
