Thanks. Funds are all set. Hoping that I love the car and can knock the price down a bit too.

Signed the paperwork, yesterday. They're replacing the IMS with an IN Engineering ceramic one, new clutch and f/w, RMS, AOS, new tires, rear window regulators and fixing the non working Bose CD head unit. Cannot wait to pick it up when all the work is complete!

Rear window regulator needed replacing. Part should be in Tuesday. May try to pick it up during the week when it's ready, but may have to wait until next weekend. Oh well. Better to have them find this problem now and not after I've owned it past the 60 day warranty.

9 years and 4 months after this thread started... I bought the car from Tdream1!

Kudos to him. He took wonderful care of this car- it's clear he loved this machine. He added a Numeric short shifter, Fister mufflers, an Alpine deck, and lots of other goodness. I picked it up this morning. I'm meeting Tdream1 for a beer in about an hour. Happy day!

The price isn't too high for one that is so well sorted. Prices are going up as you can see in the back of this month's Panorama. One tip though. Make sure the shop installing the IMS sends the old bearing back to KN and registers the new bearing with LN. If you end of trying to sell it in the future, you want to be able to show the buyer that it was all done properly and registered. This is something you need to keep on top of. Some shops do the install and then never register the new bearing. Don't let that happen to you.

If it has been 9 years the LN IMS bearing is due for replacement. Check with LN about the recommended replacement interval for the ceramic bearing. If replacing and you plan to keep the car, spend the extra money and get the IMS Solution and never worry about the IMS bearing again.

I got that sorted a couple of years into ownership by having the IMS Solution put in. The DOF kit took any worry away of the IMS failing in the future. The new owner can have that peace of mind as well.
