Default 99/00/01 vs 02/03/04 996

Is there a noticeable difference when driving the 3.4 vs the 3.6 in HP and how the car feels?

I've driven one 03 C4S and the rest 99 and 00's. I can't say I noticed any difference in power.

The increased low rpm torque of the 3.6 is quite noticable especially starting off from a stop.

One would expect an S to be different. What about C2 vs C2 ?

The S cars in the 996 series were only available as a MK II C4S and they use the same 320 HP engine as the C2. I think the biggest noticeable difference in power (aside from buying a turbo) would be to find an X51 car like a 40th anniversary car.

Actually the C4S might feel a bit different than a mark II C2 due to the additional weight that a C4S carries.
So, to really judge, it would need to be C2 vs C2 or C4 vs C4 (not C4S).

The later 3.6 cars have:
Vario cam
Bump in power
Better looking lights
A glove box!

Would recommend a later car!
