I thought my car was Midnight Blue Metallic, as that's what the previous owner told me Well, upon actually looking up the color code - L3AZ I find that it's actually Ocean Blue metallic... I haven't seen the difference side by side so I have no idea what it is. I know the one I've got changes a bit depending on the viewing angle in Sunlight/Streetlight and I like it.
Actually the Cayenne is black and the Macan is technically Dark Blue Metallic but in the right light and with enough dirt on the cars, they do all look the same!
I think Ocean Blue is very nice. If you park it next to a Midnight Blue car, then you'll see that they are quite different. Ocean Blue does change character considerably in direct sunlight compared to shade.
Here're 99 996 Ocean Blue Metallic and 14 Boxster Dark Blue Metallic side by side, his and hers Ocean Blue tends to change color depending on light conditions. It can look purple all the way to dark blue with a hint of green (like the ocean??)

^This^ the first time I saw the car it was in a fairly dark garage with a rather dim light over in a corner. Obviously the blue looked really dark/almost navy or black - until I got a reflection off the corner of the bumper - it had a greenish almost turquoise under-lighting to it - very hard to explain or even recreate (it actually worried me a little - like there was something wrong with the paint) , the light has to hit it just right. If it's outside in the daylight you can't really see it. in the photo above you can almost see it in the reflection below the drivers side headlight - it's actually too light to see it, but that's the spot if the surrounding light was dimmer... The Midnight Blue Metallic looks much more "silvery" compared to the OBM. Ok, I've rambled long enough...
