The BOSS (my son ) has spoken - the 996 cab MUST be blue!So, if you have a blue 996 could you please post a picture of it and the name of the color. Hopefully, I can narrow this down a bit, since I'm sure there are about a 100 shades of blue.

 

This blue is black...
I have been told by a couple of people who have seen the car at night - they thought it was dark blue.
I guess my advice it lighting has a lot to do with the color - when the Boss finds the blue he likes make sure he sees one in the bright daylight and on an overcast day - it can make a huge difference - best of luck.
There is a blue named "midnight blue" I always thought looked great.

 

Lapis blue....I "fell" into this one and I'm happy I did. I have really grown to love this colour! Ed, 'old windy' was red.........

Ocean Blue Metallic (it's almost purple in the setting sun). Has 150k miles, too.

 

Midnight blue

 

This is a 2000 Iris blue pearl...very special color.

Here's another shot of Midnight Blue Metallic for you. It can look like black in certain light, and it can look almost as blue as Lapis Blue Metallic in some light.
