Ok people, what do we think about this? Currently listed at a different dealership for a little bit less, but it is a 99 6-speed coupe in Vesuvio.

Seems in decent shape except for the seats.
Nothing on the Carfax for maintenance up until recently, but it looks like the PO did a big refresh including the IMS. I asked the dealer if the PO had records for all of the service completed on the car.

The description states that it has some sort of factory exclusive interior option but I see no such thing nor does the options tag list that.
At least one of the wheel center caps is aftermarket as it's missing the concentric, recessed ring.
I love Vesuvio, though. It looks like a car that could be a great specimen with a lot of TLC applied to the interior.
Edit: it also has a non-Porsche black coolant cap. Throw that in the trash.
The vacuum brake booster is the original 90 degree elbow design that leaks air like a sieve, so plan to replace that. Luckily Skip @Porschetech3 takes care of that if you buy the UAOS.

The seats definitely have.....patina..... They are draped leather which is a thicker/more supple leather but it creases a lot, which doesn't help if they aren't kept up. Think of an old, comfy leather couch: feels great, looks terrible.

It has option codes 00051, 09991, and 21451 which are all custom program options codes. Not that the codes tell you what was custom, just that something custom was done.
To your other point, the wheels need help, but I think I would probably refinish the wheels in bronze or something anyway. Purple over bronze is pretty cool. And the seats… Would be a good candidate for refinishing with new leathers and some houndstooth inserts or something. The actual foam underneath seems fine from the video that the dealership sent me.

It definitely does have the options for custom interior, but I think the only thing custom is the mix of black and Savannah trim pieces. Like the center console trim is black instead of tan.

The OEM wheel comes with the car and it is listed as Vesuvio on the dealer site. Point taken though.

I don't like Savannah Beige, but I'd probably give that a go. It looks clean other than the seats. Should be easy enough to find a replacement set in better condition, or better yet a set of GT3 buckets

You kinda can if you put the link in quotes.
The dealership won't allow an offsite PPI and they raised their listed price by $500 today. They're offering to let someone come to the dealership and use their lifts to inspect the car, but that's probably a tall order to get an indy shop to send someone offsite for a PPI. The dealership is also listed as "no hassle", so I don't know if they're flexible on price yet. I was trying to figure out a PPI before working up the salesperson.
