I've seen that ME in TX awhile back and the only thing that is stopping me from calling to schedule a test drive is the all wheel drive. I live in hot TX and don't really need 4wd.

A few ticks in the boxes missing (IMS?) but otherwise looks good.
Interesting to see the GT3/Aero front bumper on it without the rest of the Aero package. Looks sooo much better in my opinion as (to me) the normal bumper just feels like it lacks definition at the bottom.

Looks like an aftermarket front bumper and Mk.II side skirts, right?

AWD, not 4WD. Someone from the land of pickups should know the difference

While the AWD does make a difference in bad conditions, that's not what it was designed to do. This is built with performance and cornering in mind.

The AWD and RWD definitely handle and act differently, but don't discount a C4 due to misconceptions about what the system is for.

Also it is a simple matter to disconnect the AWD system if you really don't like it and it will act like a RWD car just fine. It's just as simple to turn it back into a AWD car (if you hang onto all the parts) when it's time to move on.

Additionally, the C4 shares the more rigid tub with the GT3. So if you wanted to be serious about track duty (not something I'd do with a ME), a C4 is the better starting platform to work from.

Opps, you're right about the bumper. I didn't enlarge the pics and it looks like the MkI Aero bumper in the small version.

I can't tell on the side skirts. I honestly don't know the difference (is there any?) between the MkI and MkII versions. I also can't tell if the "doesn't look quite right" things I see are because they aren't real or just bad light reflections.

Thank you for the clarification and education on the AWD system. I'm really starting to like this car more and more. The ad of that violet ME car said the engine has rebuilt and replace IMS, RMS, water pump etc. I'm a bit confused by this as I've always been accustom to a rebuild engine being replace everything in the core such as pistons, cranks, valves etc. If the PO only replaced parts mentioned, would it still be considered as a rebuilt engine? This would be significant for me as the car has close to 100k miles.

That looks like a smokin' deal for someone wanting a well loved ME. I'd grab it up, but got no money or place for another car.

MkII skirts have a sharper crease line compared to the MkI's.

Rebuild is a loaded term around here.

I took that all as those were replaced in addition to the "rebuild". I'd want to know more about both the rebuild and the reason for a rebuild.
