Blue Porsches
I had a 2002 Lapis Blue Metallic 996.2 Cab with tan interior. Spectacular paint color. I only sold it in anticipation of buying my 997.2. I looked for dark blue; aqua is not a good alternative. But, I settled on my second choice and my wife's favorite color, a Meteor Grey Metallic 997.2 C4S Cab. Probably my second favorite color on a modern Porsche, behind a nice dark blue.

What are you driving now? ~300hp @ ~3,000 pounds curb weight should feel pretty fast. Maybe that car had some issues?

Factory aero kit. Still seems a little on the high side for 101k miles.

I don't want to flood the thread with odd cl ads, but this one should be amusing. Not sure that it's even possible to get a $20k body kit is it?

Saw this one in person. It's generally a clean car with a few cosmetic issues inside and out, but looks generally unmolested. I did not see any LN stickers on the engine hatch, nor the door jamb. Can't remember the build date, but I think it was late '98. Rear window was not stuck in the up position when I saw the car, the regulator has been replaced since the original photos were taken.
I didn't drive it... but will go back and take more detailed pics of specific areas if anyone is seriously interested and wants a rennfax.
The selling dealer stated that the car came from California and it didn't come with service records, but him and his mechanic had been under the car and saw tool marks on the bolts holding the tranny to the engine, so there is a chance that IMSB might have been swapped when the clutch was serviced.
At first glance, it seems like a really decent deal on a nice daily driver example.

1. Price of $55,000. This a 2001 Carrera NOT a Turbo or GT3.
2. Quote: "Brand new 996 3.4L flat 6 with 0 miles installed at 78k."
My response:
That probably because the last motor grenaded itself. Still doesn't make it a $55,000 car.
3. Quote: "All black edition (rare)"
My response:
Hahaha Really? It has the standard graphite grey interior and those are aftermarket wheels. ugh! Most educated enthusiasts know the difference between a Porsche factory "black edition" and an old Mk1 Black Carrera that's been "blacked out".
4. Quote: "6x 10" in subwoofers with 3,000w amp installed professionally by Audio Props of Palm Beach."
My response: BURN IT! I'd hate to be crushed by that ugly thing if I had to slam on the brakes.
5. Quote: "$20,000 Porsche racing body kit."
My thoughts: Ok so you put $20,000 in what appears to be a OEM aero kit to make it track worthy, but why not go the full route and install roll bars and sport seats instead of wasting money with that hideous bass enclosure box?
6. Quote: "Car has been fully detailed and waxed twice a week since my ownership."
My scratch my head response: Really? Is the climate that bad in Florida that forces you to have to wash and wax these cars twice a week? What are you smoking seller??? Now you're blowing smoke!
7. And the king of all BS remarks and I quote, "No joy rides this car is in perfect condition."
My response: "perfect"... really? this car is like fresh off the factory line with Ferdinand Porsche's signature? hahahaha Gimme a break seller! There ain't nothing that is made with human hands that is "perfect"... ok, maybe a new 991 GT3R, but not a 17 year old Carrera.

I test drove an 02' C2 6sp today and wow there is a different compare to the 99'. The 02 has a stronger pull and felt I was going faster and further until it got close to red line on 1st & 2nd gear. I like the 02 but he wanted too much $21k and the fact that the previous owner died in that car from an accident made me felt awkward so I didn't make him an offer. Certainly will be on the search and hunt for an 02-04 911.
