Wow! That Teal 996 in Seattle is very nicely optioned.
Bottom line, if someone on Rennlist is considering this car, you need to ****** it up ASAP!
I wonder if the LSD still works properly?
Refinished sets of the widebody 993 Hollow Turbo Twists sell for $3-$5k on the used market, I think the 18" narrow body offset hollow twists are even more rare than the wide body rims!
Someone could buy that car and sell off the rims and replace with solid twists and recoup some of that expense. Or keep the car 100% original (I'd change headlight/tailight & side markers to non-yellow OEM versions) as this one might be one of those 996's that is primed to go up in value sooner than later... Bottom line, it's not one of your standard low-optioned Silver/Black, Dark Blue/Gray or Black/Black coupes out there in such high quantity...
IMHO, for the price, that car is very much worth it...
Here is my deciphered options list...

Black one above was sold before I could get it in the shop for an inspection. The issues with long-distance buying I guess. The Arena Red one in Oregon didn't respond, but I am following up. In any case, here are some other candidates:
Blue one in Michigan. I'd like to avoid cars that might be subject to a lot of salt, but nice color:

This is a 3.4, isn't it? In any case, I'd like to see some pics not taken in the dark:

Nice red one in Texas:

I like that 2-tone interior on the Michigan one!

Sorry if this has already been posted, but i'm interested to hear what your opinions are on this example. Car does have original IMS, RMS, and clutch. Owner said there isn't any metal shavings in the oil filter and the car doesn't leak any oil. If I were to buy, the first items I would take care of are IMS, RMS, and clutch. Hopefully he would budge a little on price because of this.
Items that have been taken care of.
Suspension (new H&R coilovers, new control arms)
Brakes (New porsche rotors with Hawk Brakes)
Water Pump was just replaced
AOS was replaced
Tires have 3k miles
The owner is moving to Arizona which is why he wants to sell the car. He is the 5th owner. Two of the previous owners on Car Fax check out to be dealerships. The car hasn't been beaten on by any means, but he did mention he drives it like a Porsche needs to be driven. The owner was pretty straightforward and upfront. Thoughts or concerns....

Looks like a nice car, guy did some work on it. And I'm a noob, so I hope you don't mind the question, but do you have to do the RMS if its not leaking? Or is it going to leak, so you do it before hand?

Yes that would have a 3.4, not a 3.6. Unless the engine was rebuilt and it was bored out at that time, but they don't mention that at all.

We had it replaced twice under warranty in the first 30k due to it leaking, but the 3rd lasted 12 years and 40ish K and was bone dry. I had it replaced anyway since the transmission was out to get rebuilt, we changed the clutch and flywheel, and the IMSB was done. Probably would have kept on doing it's job for a long time, but I would have been pissed to be staring at a leak now...

MikeinBloomfield, did you see this one posted earlier? Absolutely stunning. Makes me wish I hadn't jumped on the boring Arctic Silver and held out for something like this.

I'd say based on what other >100k cars have been up for recently as well as this being a very low optioned car, it's maybe a couple K high, but it's not unreasonable. It's nice that he recently poured all that money into it, but you rarely get much of that back when selling.
