My brakes make a squeak sound as I come to a stop...Any suggestions? I broke in the brakes and discs for the first couple hundred miles. I am now at 1250miles.

My dealer told me brake dust builds up easily (causing squeaks) and the best way to take care of it is to get the car up to speed (70ish) on the highway and then REALLY step on the brakes (make sure no one is behind you first). Seems to help...

You need to exercise your brakes more, find a safe seclded spot and do some 0-60-0 runs, feel the acceleration and the ABS.
Your brakes should become quiet

That's strange, I find just the opposite from BSC and Mjones. When I drive the car hard using the brakes a lot I find that they usually start to squeal. Then after driving for a couple days using mainly engine compression as a brake (my usual technique in normal driving) the squeal then goes away.

Find a deserted street or parking lot, and start out in reverse, build up a little speed and slam on the brake pedal (the one in the middle
) and it will STOP squeaking.....I think alot of this is due to crossdrilled rotors and dirty pads

"Cleaning" the brake pad residue with the 60 - 0 quick stops definitely works for me. I had to repeat the procedure within a few days after the very first time, but now the results seem to last longer.
Which brings up another question... what are the effects on mechanical or fluid systems from using "engine compression as a brake"? Seems like riding each gear down over several seconds would stress something much more than say a heel-toe prior to an immediate throttle.
