Default Under Seat Maglight mount

Hi everyone, while cleaning all of the lost stuff out from underneath the passenger seat this past weekend (found a petrified banana, and old gps case, a mount for a newer gps, a water bottle and an mp3 player I lost) I found mounting points for what I can only assume is a fire extinguisher. I took measurements of the bracket and made an aluminum mount for under the passenger seat that will hold a Maglight. I made it so that the flashlight doesn't touch the seat at all. Here is the finished product. Has anyone else made anything that goes on these brackets? I have a second mount that im going to use to hold a knife I have or something under the driver seat. Would anyone be interested in something like it?

Love it. Very clean install. I think you have a winner there.

we need a 'like' feature here, a little yellow thingy that you click on to show appreciation for the post
and/or the idea in it.

nice mount. I put a fire extinguisher in the front last evening and keep a small LED
light in the door storage.

Usually that area is for first aid kit but not 100% positive on the 996 model.

I looked online last night and found the Porsche fire extinguisher mount for about $225. I'm going to try making on myself. I want to try machining something out of aluminum instead of using aluminum sheet. Those mounting points are very strong but I wasn't able to get a good measurment of the hole size, so any heavy items would probably have to be properly screwed down. Something long could face backwards under the passenger seat from the mount, there is a fair amount of room, so a gun could work (if legal of course).

Like it but I just use a surefire in center console.
Maglights are great for use as a weapon but technology has passed them by.

I agree. One that performs great too and I give them as gifts all the time are Duracell 500. It is ruggedly built out of aluminum and gives off 500 Lumens and cheap at only $10 a pop including batteries. Sure there's the mega dollar brighter models out there but for the price, this can't be beat IMO.

I brought it recently to a fireworks show so I can see the lawn when heading back and people thought a car was coming up behind them. lol.

By brother bought the Surefire Fury P3X and it is just STUPID bright. they claim 1000 lumens and even reflecting off the wall it blinds you, LOL.

The mag light is kind of weak, but I have a few laying around so might as well put one in the car. I have a brighter flashlight its made by Nitecore its called the Tiny Monster 26, it outputs 3500 Lumens, its insane. Who needs a $400 flashlight, luckily I was given it by my brother. I use that one a lot more often than the mag lights so I dont want to put it in the car.
