Default Rear emblem modification alteration pics

Who here has played with their rear emblems? added 911, removed Carrera, moved Carrera or added the 991 P O R S C H E style emblem?

I want to see pictures. Thinking of replacing my Black Carrera with Silver and moving my Carrera down below the "hump"

I like things stock and OEM but was playing around with the thought of doing the newer style

here's a mock up. The size might not be exactly the same, but close I think. Thought? What have you guys done or seen?

I also have been thinking about changing the rear emblem. In fact, I had a 99 Boxster and changed the "Boxster" emblem to "986".

As for my 996, I have been kicking around the idea of swapping the Carrera emblem for a simple, brushed-alum looking "911" emblem.

The purist in me says don't mess with it, but i'm not so sure....

All badging deleted from my rear lid. I hate the new cars' badging. Maybe some people buy the new cars for the blingy emblems. Looks busy to me.

My '02 came w/o rear badging. I prefer it to the stock script "Carrera".

The large "PORSCHE" above the break is more "Look at me!" than I like. But it's your car, and to each their own. Just don't add some of those adhesive vents on the side of the front fenders.

It's really a matter of personal preference. I like the stock script on my 996 C4S. If I modify it, I will probably remove it completely.

I removed the "Carrera" badge and put on an new "911" badge. I like the look, but I screwed up the paint slightly trying to polish out the ghost image left by the old badge. No one seems to be able to see it but me, but it still bugs me. Be careful.

No badges on the back of my car currently. At some point I will probably get the "911" badge from a 40th Anniversary model. Or maybe a "996".

I thought about making the S in 4S red, but I've since changed my mind. At least for now. Otherwise, I love the badging on the 4S as is. I did see a brand new 991 today in the parking lot. PORSCHE 911 Turbo S Beautiful car, but I thought it was just too much writing/script on the back end. BTW - the 991 looks huge compared to the 996.

I would think everyone knows what a Porsche looks like. For those that don't, you probably don't know about E.T. or Star Wars either.

Of course some may get it mixed up with a beetle or even the newer 370z's or Audi TT's. LOL

yeah the P O R S C H E is a little much, but its also a bit retro they used to have them back in the day...

the 991 is def bigger, but I scaled the badge in my pic according to the size of the license plate, so they should be about the right size

I get they needed to add P O R S C H E on the back of Cayennes and Panameras so people know what they were... but a 911 needs no such identification.

this is interesting...but would probably prefer it centered.

2002 Turbo - Basalt Black Metallic / 2003 Carrera 4S - Speed Yellow / 1955 356 Continental 1500 - Rust Red
