Interesting all the vesuvio metallic in this thread; I’d say that is the purple in violet chromaflair. The green is the differentiator and how is there not a millennium in this thread?!
Great color ... really a stunning car, and one that is sure to stand out in a crowd.
I'm on the other end of the continuum with the color that absolutely melts into the background -- Paladio Pearl Metallic, aka Mirage. Like Viola, this was a special order color for two model years, 1999 and 2000. I've seen ads for several other 996's for sale in this color, but have never actually seen another one.
Just picked this up…. Mirage. Very nice color and not many of them around. 32K miles and one family owned. The Speedline wheels are a nice touch 😎
Kinda digging the color 😎

I got a Paladio as well, and it is very subtle and changes a lot based on the light. I love it. There were quite a few made in this color, but it is pretty rare, 4 out of 5 on the rennbow scale. I’ve only found 2 or 3 others in aerokit form in online searches.

Easy: if the build date on the door jamb sticker is within 11/97 - 08/98 then amber lenses were fitted originally. If build date is 09/98 or later it came with clear lenses. That is definitive.

Picked up this Carrera 4s on Thursday. It's my first H2O P-car, after owing a 912, five "regular" air-cooled 911s and a 930. It's been only a couple of days and maybe 100 miles, but this thing has impressed the **** out of me so far. Hoping to get some decent photos soon, but this one I snapped in my driveway will have to do for now.
Oh, and anyone who thinks the 996 headlights are ugly really oughta think again - these are exactly what they should've been when these cars were designed.

Your car is supe nice! I alway loved the millenium edition. I saw one recently at Ryan Freedman motorcars. It had vey low miles. The color looked amazing. They had recently polished it and under the neon lights it looked like a jewel with the chrome wheels. Really eye catching.

thanks man! The chrome wheels are so critical to the paint popping. The Jahre LWs would be a good possible replacement I’m thinking.
Australian Car dealers...Mine was sold to me online from Western Australia online as Seal Grey with a Grey interior. Reading the build sticker it's Vesuvio with a Black interior. I like it it so much I've switched from mod mode to reliability preservation. Still replacing/upgrading 20 year old suspension. Still doing LN 3.4 to 3.8 Nickies, for durability. Keeping most of the rest standard now. Worst of all I gave myself the wrong Avatar namr for Rennlist
From one of one of the most common 996 colors to one of the rarest
Congrats, and lobby Rennlist admin perhaps your username can be changed under these “rare” circumstances
