Ugly or not, cantilevering the wing off the bumper supports is a really clever way to add downforce without having to add a humongous wing. It's not pretty, but it's ingenious to use leverage to multiply the wing's downforce.
Am I the only one who thinks the graphics look chopped? Especially the rear quarter view with the gradient from red to light...

Add my vote for "ricer" looking. But, since this was apparently designed for a speed record, the crappy looks are forgiven.
