Just took it to the different level, oh wow...

Definitely like the splitter but not the rear wing. Just my opinion.

sandersd 03-03-2014 08:20 AM

Beautiful! I'd go with an updated GT3 bumper but other than that - Wow!

M3BimmerBilly 03-03-2014 09:01 AM

I dont get it. Looks like a ricer tuner car.

+1

It doesn't work for me.

I like it a lot. Looks different from any other 996 I have seen. If you just looked at it for a bit it drags you in. The side vents on the front bumper, the fender being pulled in the rear. I would love to see more pics of it.

Different strokes for different blokes.
Whether you like it or not, some really creative thougts behind the mods (e.g., the side mirrors and the single, centered windshield wiper) and looks like some well-done workmanship.

Looks naff to me! Not a fan of aero anyway, but a straight GT2 looks better.

It only took 3 posts for the tired "it looks like a ricer" comment to appear. Why some are so eager to apply that description to any car that has other than the "standard forum approved mods" is a constant source of bemusement to me.

C'mon! This rear wing is just awful!

I'm somewhat surprised that this is 9ff. I do agree on the rear wing fugliness. As for the front, they should've integrated the vents better since they were working with a new custom bumper anyways. Those vents look like ebay tack ons IMO, regardless if functional.

The other personal pet peeve is seeing mk1 side skirts on a mk2. I know some mk2's came this way but it just doesn't seem to fit the period correctness IMO.

It wasn't designed to be pretty...and it isn't

however despite my dislike of aero, this sends little tingles up and down my spine!

800+ HP.... there's gotta be a Metzger in there.... 9FF makes fugly cars for sure, but they are more about speed and records.

pcst 03-03-2014 11:27 AM

These guys are speed chasers, and learned based on what they have done to 9ff:
(1) MK1 side skirts provide a better aero dynamic, otherwise why would they've gone with MK1 instead of MK2 side skirts?
(2) The Cayman rear spoiler is actually functional!! :)

I personally think 9ff just looks ugly,
