Default Yet another horrible & overpriced 996 Frankenporsche

Ok, 996ers, if you thought that $47,000 phoney Halloween "GT3 RS" was bad, yowza, wait 'til you see this one!:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Porsche-911-...US_Cars_Trucks

Despite the description "2011Porsche 997 Twin Turbo ", it is in fact a regular N/A 2002 996 cabriolet tiptronic hiding under that monstrosity of bodywork. The rear end looks like a diaper with a full load. Asking price: $69,999.00

But, you can brag to your buddies that this car was "built for a businessman that owns restaurants spanning the Mediterranean region and beyond."

I guess he lost his lunch once it was delivered.

If you buy it, don't forget your pimp hat!

Still pretty tame compared to some of the stuff you see here in Tokyo.

Nicely appointed...love the judicious use of alcantara. Boy racer toy, ready to burn up the streets of South Beach....

Wicked has been around awhile and has quite a bit of crazy vehicles. Hell, they are the only ones I know attempting to sell 991 conversion kits too(for 997). They have a diverse portfolio and some actually look decent but obviously different strokes for different folks applies here.

They are also nuts on doing a 918 conversion on a boxster which actually seems decent but the price is also nuts IMO.

The panel gaps and fit on that 918 kit is just awful. The concept looks fantastic, but the execution is just terrible.

Different wheels, bumpers and a man transmission and it wouldn't be too bad. Also, it could use a roof, I'm just not a fan of 'verts.

That would be cool since you can't get a 918 with an old school engine.
I'd like to see the 981 with that 918 conversion with a 991 3.8L.

They've been selling overpriced, overdone, mediocre cars on Ebay for years.

That's about right since they're in Cali local to the Malibu and Beverly Hill's crowd. Perfect since they are into looks and plastic surgery, why not for a car? It fits right in...
