I have the 4S in 285/35/18 and think the taller sidewall works well for the 2WD application and looks right. My car is lowered and corner balanced on Öhlins and the setup as a whole works really well.
and keeping in line with the thread, I love my factory 18s and would not put out the money for something that would move the needle enough to get me to change, i would like some TE37’s but not enough to drop the money on them.
So I got the factory wheels repaired to new condition and had them powder coated.

I like the five spoke factory wheels on my 03 too. May I ask where you had your's refinished and how much. Note to self, pay attention in drive throughs.... There was already 17 yrs of of scuffs and scratches. There are several good looking aftermarkets wheels I like in this thread, but I think I'll stick with what I have unless it's more to refinish than buy new. I have no idea what the costs are new or refinishing.

My wheels were done with a 2 stage powder coat, a gloss with a matte secondary coat. The 2 stage was 175/wheel, for a single stage it would have been $150... I think that may change depending on the prep/repair required, bit it's what I paid.

I had them done by The Wheel Fix in Waltham, MA...Little bit of a hike for you but I am very happy with the work so maybe it would be worth it depending on options in Southern NH, Northern MA area. Here's his contact: info@thewheelfix.com

How bad can the damage be before you say this is too bad to save, I'm remembering the guy who did the tire mounting, saying one of the rims was out of round. Probably should toss that one in favor of good used or new. Mine aren't too bad, just visible curb rash, aside from the one that's out of round.

The offset is actually of, so I have to compensate with spacers in front. The wheels actually hit the suspension without spacers. I will cut the fenders and mount som fender flares for next season (only a few weeks left of the season here in mid-Norway).
The camber settings are maxed out on the stock C2 arms.
