If that falls through let me know. I'm willing to sell these off mine as I have another set incoming. The chrome is peeling off two of the center caps but the rest of the wheel is true and in superb condition.

Front (-2.5 Camber): 245 on 18x9 +46
Rear (-2.8 Camber): 315 on 18x12 +65

Probably my next move is to try a 2 or 3mm spacer on the front. Really need to get the car on jackstands and take a good look around. I tried a 5mm spacer on the front and it was too much (hooked my fr fender, and I had to re-roll it with a hammer handle).
Did you end up finding out what was causing the interference?

I was linked back to this thread by email notification today, although I've sold my 996 (C2 manual) over a year ago, trading into an Aston Martin Rapide S.
But have recently purchased another 911, because....911! - still have the Aston, which I love.
This time I've bought a 2006 997.1 Carrera 2 manual, and thereason for replying to this post is because it's got a ducktail rear spoiler that looks identical to this one - i can't find the source of mine - where is this one from?
the 996, and 997 really suit a ducktail, as evidenced by the 997 Sport Classic. And this car too, of course.
Obligatory wheel content; these are 19 inch Carrera Sport OEM wheels

you can fit thule 753 (I think) feet, the problem (if you care) is you get that tilted fitment as shown instead of the more specific fitment of the OEM kit

Funny, I was just thinking about revisiting this set…local shop put my car up to GT3 height (I think this will help a ton). If that isn’t enough, I also got a new set of fender liners to play Dremel time (thanks to JP for the instructions). Will update be the end of June!

Here's my 18 HRE, but debating if I should replace them with the OEM 408 turbo look wheels I have sitting around.

I’d go with the 408s but I’m biased. To me there is nothing better on a 996. Especially in atomic silver.

Yeah, that's what i was thinking, so I guess I will replace them with the 408 in a week or so, and might also consider replacing the rear Carrara Wing with the original popup wing.

I’m really interested to see how those two tone wheels look on the car…and as for the wing, going back to original would be my preference for sure.

UPDATE: I sold the Sport Designs and picked up the turbo styles last month. So now my MY99 is exactly how I wanted it and I put about $1300 in my pocket.

So I got the factory wheels repaired to new condition and had them powder coated.

The wheels look amazing in that color, and they complement the black paint perfectly. Well done!
