Help please. Need seat power switch ****.
Hey all,
I have been trying for over a month to find the part below, the front power seat switch **** that has broken off. I've tried ordering it through my local Porsche parts guy, but twice now they have sent the rear switch ****, not the front one that I need. Apparently, the number listed in the parts manual is only for the rear ****, not the front one. So, I have no way of ordering it.
Any of you guys know where I can get a new **** for this switch? 2003 C2.
Thank you in advance.

Thanks, DBjoe, I'll run that part number by my supplier. But, I think that's the same part number he has been using, but they keep sending the rear ****, not the front one. I think the part number is wrong.

At 72 years of age, that's what I need... A new **** at the front. My **** has been broke about 2 years now. I have tried DIY on it but still it doesn't work like it used to do hahaha

Cuda,
There was a similar post today of someone with the same problem you and I have.
Did you ever find a way to replace the **** without buying the whole darn switch?
Thanks.

I emailed them. From their response, I don't think they have it for a 996.

Probably not that one, but we have them, $20 each.

Hello,
I have a 2002 Porsche 996 Targa,
I am missing the **** for the passenger electric seat control – the **** that makes it go up or down and back and forth.
I saw in your catalog that it MIGHT be this part (but listed for an 05 997?).
This is item #19 on this page: http://dcauto.gotdns.com/illustratio...99752163302V05
Item #19 997.521.633.02 V05 $20.47
I377/378/437 Control ****
Do you know if it will fit my 02 996 passenger side switch?
Thanks.

I've checked everywhere and called every dismantler for two years. So far, no go. It's either pop the $500 to 700 to replace the whole mechanism, or just live with it.
