Thanks! When I get switch it should be easy install. Just have to figure out where to tap into PSM for illumination.

Then the connector comes right out. I took the image off the switch because it was a sticker and did not like how it looked.
Like the beer can reference; instructions in my kind of language.

Disappointed about the sticker. Am fussy and would not like it either but do want a symbol. I probably will stick with OEM switch i ordered that doesn't have light but has graphic. Just need to gloss it for my interior.

Thanks all!

I installed the switch in my horseshoe a couple of years ago, but what I like about this solution is, it tells you whether the spoiler is up/down and/or in motion.

I would love to add this functionality to my install. Does anyone know what needs to be done/wired to get this status LED?

I started this project today, had all the stuff (5' wires, connectors, switch ect). Opened the horseshoe and I'll be damned if I could figure out where to push the 3 wires through. Spent way to much time trying to get the wires through even with a coat hanger, where I could feel them with my hand. Where did the rest of you gentlemen push them through?

If you are seated in the drivers seat there is a small panel by your right foot. On mine it is covered with leather. Just pull on it and it Will be easier to fish the wires. Pull from the far end towards you it is held in place by push pins not screws

Excellent!

Will be in Portland picking up switches by end of month, then hoping to get on this in May depending on lacrosse tournaments.

Wausau 911, I put the wires to the instrument cluster through a small hole far back and to the left as you shine a flashlight through where the horseshoe goes. I put the wire to the fuse box through a hole immediately to the left and close to front of the dash of where the horseshoe goes. That wire runs along the top of the panel described described above. Hope that helps.

Thx Cmanis, unfortunately I have to put the switch on the Rt side of the horseshoe due an Ipod jack occupying the blank on the left. I'll still try pulling the leather pad off and see if that route will work.

I'm doing this mod as well but ran into a problem. I'm installing the spoiler switch on the right side of the horseshoe (because I'm installing the garage door opener mod on the left side) but the short cable is too short to reach the gray connector on the instrument binnacle. I can splice extra wire into the cable assembly to make it reach but since no one else mentioned having to do this I'm wondering if I routed the cable the wrong way. What do you guys think?

Will this switch open and close the spoiler at any speed?

Yup. Also has a red LED that flashes when the spoiler is raising or lowering, and stays on when it's deployed.
