Again, Becker can help you better than I can. I believe they have an option that plugs directly into the back of your headunit, and has RCA plugs on the other end. They have other cables too...

Wow - looking at trying to upgrade my Bose system and seeing the complexity here too - sigh...
I went to crutchfield's website and almost everything they offered was "call for details"...
Is there any easy way to add an iPod/iPhone adapter with just a plug from the back, etc?

The only way to do it just adding a plug from the back is to send your head unit to Becker and have them modify it and put the adapter in.

I recall there is a way to connected RCA through CD input. If your head unit can control Cd changer it can receive RCA input through that. Not sure where I saw that.

I used Crutchfield for my Scosche IPFMRDS system (plug and play) and absolutely love it. Search IPFMRDS for threads on how it works, or shoot me a PM.

Maybe I should post a DIY??

I'll have to third the Sosche IPFMRDS. Works exceptionally well. I have my iPad mini running through it. Works flawlessly.

I have moBridge which adds iPod and can be used through the Bose head unit in my 2004. It sounds great.
