Default nice c4s with nice price.

NO affiliation, just saw this ads, it looks like a great deal for a 6-speed c4s with some nice upgrades.

The 996 is the cheapest porsche 911 you can buy of any years...

It is hard to find an SC looking like that for same mileage at that price !

i was very curious about that car - about to pull the trigger on a nice 2001 996 but this looks tempting. i'm going to call the owner this morning

does the C4S engine have the same IMS issues as the 996 C2?

anyone know a good shop for a PPI in sandiego?

Groov, susceptible to the same IMS/RMS issues; no help on the San Diego PPI, but I'm sure someone else will, but you may want to make that question it's own thread to get better responses.

Wow that's a great price, literally what I paid for mine.

I suspect the car was hit in the front though, the right headlight looks newer than the left and the bumper color is off.

appreciate the shop info

i noticed the headlight and figured its been replaced perhaps due to crack hopefully not fender damage - looks goofy having that faded lens. i would have at least polished it.

who knows - w/ those high miles and carting kids around sounds to me like it may have interior issues. when my kids were small i used to use a pail to bail out the breakfast milk from the back floor of my wifes passat.

looks like its been a daily driver - hopefully clutch has been replaced recently and IMS has been upgraded.

i left a phone message with the owner

Looks like a great price for a driver. If it has been reasonably well maintained, it would make a fantastic DD.

Groove the 1999 models all have the dual row bearing. On the 2000 and 2001 some have single row and some dual row. From 2002 thru about mid year 2005 they all have a single row bearing. Later year 2005 up to 2008 they have a larger single row bearing but it is non serviceable. C4S and C2 are in the same boat.

had a discussion with the C4S owner - car has been in accident although does not show up on the carfax. he was very willing to shed light on all issues - he did a 360 on the freeway and hit road barrier at the front right fender as well as the side of the car. repair work was done very well

will need a clutch and IMS bearing has not been upgraded. cracked rear tailight lens. he said interior is excellent.

exterior has some scratches but no dents. he'll take $20K but no less
