Was the option code 750 'Cabriolet Hardtop Delete' common? I read that the hardtop was standard equipment. Might this mean that my car was ordered?

Default Very common...

I think I read somewhere that ver 50% of all North American Cabs had no hardtop. I have never thought of getting one for a Few reasons:

I live in Atlanta and never drive north as a general rule

Never plan to track the car

Pain in the *** to put on and store

I've heard that keeping the cab top down for so long actually imprints mechanical parts permanently into the soft top. Not us since I don't have one.

I thought it was Forest Green Metallic, or perhaps Rain Forest Green Metallic. The only other green that I know of that was offered in 2001 was Wimbledon Green Metallic, and it's certainly not that from what I can tell... Either way, it's a very nice color that you don't see very often...

Interesting. First time I've ever heard of it!

I really like the color. It appears to be the same paint code as Rain Forest Green Metallic. I think that's the cause of the confusion. I also saw it called Dschungelgruen Pearl Metallic, which literally translates to Jungle Green.

I think it's pretty rare...

From my research, I think that Rainforest Green Metallic IS Jungle Green. Like you said Dennis, it has the same paint code. I think (not sure) it may be a European vs American nomenclature. I just recently bought the car and I am still in the 'getting-know-you' stage. Either way, I love the color, and for whatever reason prefer the 'Jungle Green' name. Maybe it's because of the literal translation thing, or because it's European, ie closer to the origin of the car, or because I like the name. Whatever the case, I love the color.

I think that the photos#1 and #2 you posted are the same color (?). I may be wrong but a from what I heard, FOREST Green is markedly darker than Rainforest Green. But I am not nearly the expert, I can't say that I have ever knowingly seen the darker Forest Green.

Thanks,
J
