Default custom exhaust on 996

guys don't shoot me but i was wondering if anyone has ever customized their exhaust and incorporated corsa mufflers? i want something that is peaceful without drone and when you get on it it has the high pitched exotic sound. i've had some late model corvettes with corsa sport exhaust and loved it.

I do not think they manufacturer exhaust systems for Porsche automobiles. But regardless, I went with Cargraphic. Expensive-Yes. Awesome-Yes..

Only way to get high(er) pitched sound out of a boxer engine is to add an x-pipe to merge the two banks. Mufflers will have very little effect on pitch mainly will just have an effect on volume. Matter of fact to me the louder they are the lower they sound.

Fabspeed and FVD both make an x-pipe mid section with or without cats that will probably get you what you're looking for. Run that center with whatever mufflers you choose that work best for your volume needs and you should be set.

I'm considering the Fabspeed Maxflo mufflers for my 996, they look to be good quality.

I do not have personal experience with it but a few people like fister's stage III a lot (a few vidoes on youtube so you can sample the sound)

Matt the Maxflo Mufflers are in stock and ready to ship. You can install these with your OEM tips and catalytic converters, or opt for Fabspeed's Dual-style tips and high-flow sportcats for more sound and power.

I have PSE with FVD 100 cell x-pipe hi flow cats and I don't think I've heard anything better than this setup...
